NaPoWriMo Day 26: Word for One Single Impression

No

It’s a razor blade
cutting slashes
in an arm,

the sun pulling
a quilt of clouds
up over her head.

It’s a husband
turning away
in bed,

a mother
getting drunk
every night,

the silent scream
from a girl
being raped.

"no" is quite a powerful word, even when unspoken though it's very hard to say sometimes or accept

Powerful word and a powerful poem. This one really had an impact on me. The situations depicted in these images are often not talked about - we tend to shy away from them.

You have written a strong poem about the word no. No is a powerful stance.
