Snow Ballet Starring the Poetic Princess
It’s as if she dipped
her ballet slippers
in black paint
for when she moves
she leaves the calligraphy
of her heart
on the surface of the stage.
She twirls and swirls,
a snowflake
in an ice storm
and her crystals of despair
shimmer like razor blades,
slicing through the air,
shards of pain falling
to blanket the audience.

Ooooh. Love this idea of the ballerina painting calligraphy as she dances. Really cool!
Very imaginative with searing imagery.
That is wonderful, Linda!
I love that image of the "calligraphy
of her heart."
It is exactly what you see when a dancer pours their soul into it.
yes lovely imagery of the dancer painting calligraphy with her feet

hello linda... what an imaginative way of expressing ballet and emotions... i like ballet it is poetic [haha] but never thought of it as pink shoes dipped in black ink to express emotions... blanketing the audience... awesome!!!
"Calligraphy of the heart," "crystals of despair": I loved these images. I'm impressed by how you wove it all together. Beautiful.
Nicely done, love the line shimmer like razor blades, 'cos I love that word shimmer!
I feel as if I have been there.
Simply magical.
THE BEAST’S BLUFF
very nice...however I can not see my grandaughter dipping her ballet slippers in paint....she loves to paint...but she really looooooooooooves her ballet shoes
This is so beautiful. It takes me from a beautiful imagery of the ballerina painting with her feet to pain shimmering like razor blades. This is sumptuous.
What an amazing image, of her ballet shoes dipped in paint, dancing her soul.... gorgeous.
