NaPoWriMo Day 23: Quote for TOP

It all depends on how we look at things, and not on how things are in themselves. The least of things with a meaning is worth more in life than the greatest of things without it. ~Carl Jung

Kylie wakes up
with a smile
on her face.

I put the shade up
and see a gray,
rainy day.

“It’s so yucky
out there,”
I say to her.

She replies,
“I think
it’s beautiful.”

So, I take
another look
through the diamonds

on the window.
The clouds
are a down comforter,

jonquil spears
are drinking
thirstily,

and the grass
has turned
green.

Yes, my smart
Kylie girl,
it is beautiful.

How true! A lovely piece - turnaround and take-a-look...

Well chosen. There's so much to see in the everyday things.

Most of the days, we miss the obvious. Only a child can show the beauty..

Yeah, nicely, the jonquil spears, sound painful! What are they?
