Twilight in Berlin, NH for One Single Impression

All day you scowled
grumbling about this and that
Finally, at five

we sat to relax
opened a bottle of wine
and you smiled at me

The gray clouds of life
turned to lavender and slipped
behind the mountains.

ah, I've known many days like that -- where twilight brings the moment to let go, let gray turn to lavender!

Why it is so lovely to sit down to a glass of wine with a loved one at the end of the day.

Beautiful picture and I loved the line "The gray clouds of life" and how the poem was uplifting and relaxed at the end.
