The clock ticks.
My heart beats.
My fingers itch
to write a poem
about Twitter
and how it befuddles
me. But I’m as mystified
about how to write
about it as I am about it.
Instead I listen
to time clicking by
on this Sunday morning
in my quiet home
with a blueberry sky
and a mango sun
and a bird outside
my window
tweeting.
Mmm...a 'blueberry sky' on a Sunday morning..what could be better..absolutely 'twitter' should be left to the birds..I love how you turn your thoughts into such wonderfully encompassing poems..I always leave thinking why has nobody else said that before! Jae :)
ReplyDeleteI love the rapid clickety clack of the lines bouncing down the page filling up my mind of the important things in life like real tweets!
ReplyDeleteVery sweet. Mine is quite different but I wrote about writing (or lack of) this week too.
ReplyDeleteI love the image of the twittering bird in the blueberry sky with the mango sun. Here they are chirping madly, as if by their cries they could bring down a much-needed rain.
ReplyDeleteSo simply beautiful...not at all as confusing as twitter.
blueberry skies and mango suns sound much more preferable than sitting on twitter... time for me to get off the computer and go outside i think :)
ReplyDeleteTime clicked by very profitably for you there - very enjoyable poem.
ReplyDeleteA nice take capturing the mood of the day
ReplyDelete'A blueberry sky and a mango sun'! What else cann you possibly want? Not Twitter, for sure!
ReplyDeleteLove the outside images you have created, vivid expresssions.
ReplyDeleteI hardly understand twitter either. Your poem is so much fun to read than following online tweets. Mango sun - wowoweee!
ReplyDeleteTwitter to me is foreign, it may as well be a bird twittering.
ReplyDeleteNow that's cute! I like it :) Twitter has always confused me too, but my friends who are addicted to it's far better than any social networking media they know. I admit I partially like it too... you get it done in just about 140 characters! Explore it, you'll start loving it when you start getting all that new information flowing in!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your visit Linda :)
I hope you take part in my 'Friends Meetup Party' this Thursday on my blog :)
I much prefer the tweeting birds.
ReplyDeleteGreat post. I feel the same way. Not sure why Twitter scares me, but it does. Maybe because I cannot quite seem to break down my thoughts into short twits...Regardless, I know exactly how you feel.
ReplyDeleteI, too, don't get Twitter; I'm just too old for that tech train, I guess. I'm truly enjoying your poetry. I like the way you structure your line breaks and stanzas - and the tone of your poems too. Thanks.
