for Sunday Scribblings March 16, 2008

By the time I get home
from school,
I’m hungry.
First I change
into jeans
and a sweatshirt
then I turn
on my computer
and begin to eat.
I nibble
on a few email
appetizers
take a sip
of wine
at my own blog
then peruse
the array
of entrees.
I pick up a few
exotic tidbits
at Writers’ Island.
At Poem:
A Virtual Poetry Group
I find meat to chew on.
I munch on three
wordy veggies
at 3 Word Wednesday
and try
the casseroles
at Totally Optional Prompts.
For dessert
I still have some sweet
puddings left at Sunday Scribblings.
Sated, I click
to Word and begin
cooking my own poem.
That could be me! What a great poem.
ReplyDeletelove it.. how creative.. you have a sixth sense about making the ordinary extraordinary!!!!
ReplyDeleteA wonderful piece.
ReplyDeleteI think of the photos on my blog as appetizers, the text as the main entree, and poetry as dessert. Seems like we're on the same wavelength.
ReplyDeleteI like that! Blogging IS food -- for the brain, for creativity.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure who gets the honor of being chocolate, though. Too hard to choose.
How I identify!
ReplyDeleteGreat treat!

Very creative smorgasbord. Much healthier than a trip through an all-you-can eat buffet!
ReplyDeletegreat fun, what a cool idea!
ReplyDeleteA great smorgasbord and oh, so clever! Love it!
ReplyDeleteA smorgasbord of true sentiments of all of us lovers of words who savor Sunday Scribblings.
ReplyDeletevery nice and easily as troublesome as an actual food buffet.
ReplyDeleteFirst off, thank you for commenting on my post. This was my first Scribble, and yours was my first ever comment.
ReplyDeleteSecondly, what a lovely post you have here. Just delightful. I'm not sure what all of the prompts are that you've mentioned, but am I wrong in assuming that each one mentioned is consecutive in terms of the day of the week it is issued? If so, I absolutely love that. Even if not, I find the idea of your poem to be splendid, and the execution of it to be practically perfect. Simple, sweet, and all around enjoyable.
I like the way you think. Here's another weekly prompt that may interest you:

ReplyDeleteThank you for your kind comment on my fabric smorgasbord -- yet another happy addiction for me!
